ETS 2 Coaches List: Every Bus Confirmed for the DLC
SCS Software has confirmed three coaches for the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Coaches DLC so far, from three different manufacturers. All of them are fully licensed, and all three have been shown in screenshots, with two of them already seen in gameplay videos.
Here is each one, with what SCS has told us about it.
At a glance
| Coach | Configuration in ETS 2 | Size / seats | Seen in gameplay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scania Touring | not specified | up to 50 seats (real coach) | Yes, Narvik to Andenes |
| MAN Lion’s Coach | 4×2 and 6×2 | standard and extended length | Yes, Duisburg to Rotterdam |
| Volvo 9700 DD | 6×2 | 14.3 m long, 4 m tall, up to 96 seats (real coach) | Not yet |
Scania Touring
The first coach SCS showed, already visible in the announcement screenshots. Scania introduced the Touring in 2009 as a long-distance coach, and depending on the layout it carries up to 50 passengers. SCS scanned and recorded it at the Scania Demo Center in Södertälje.
MAN Lion’s Coach
The MAN is the most flexible of the three, with a 4×2 standard version and a longer 6×2 version. It runs MAN’s D26 engine, and inside you can pick from five seat and curtain colours, with a changeable wheel cover colour on top. SCS recorded it at the MAN Bus Forum in Munich, and it starred in the first gameplay video.
Volvo 9700 Double Decker
The big one. The 9700 DD comes as a 6×2, stands 4 metres tall and is 14.3 metres long. The real coach seats up to 96 people. In the game it gets official Volvo colours and interior options for curtains and seats. It has not appeared in a gameplay video yet.
Will there be more coaches?
SCS has not confirmed a fourth model for launch. Producer Dominik said in January that the team is talking to other long-distance coach manufacturers for after release, so the list is likely to grow over time, the same way the truck line-up did.
Until then, the modding scene has plenty to fill the gap. We have covered mods such as the Neoplan Cityliner by ECMods and the Iveco Evadys Line, and you can find more in our ETS 2 Coaches section.
Can you customise them?
Yes. Depending on the model you can change the chassis configuration, engine and transmission, seat upholstery and curtains, and some cabin accessories also fit coaches. Some parts unlock as you progress. See how buying a coach works.
