Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

This policy explains what data simuway.com (“Simuway”, “we”) collects when you read the site, why, and what choices you have. If you have a question about it, write to us at contact@simuway.com.

The short version

  • You can read Simuway without an account, and we do not ask for your name or e-mail address.
  • Google Analytics and Google AdSense load only after you click “Accept” in the cookie notice. If you decline, neither of them runs.
  • Our own “Popular” box counts page views without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
  • You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Data processed when you visit

Hosting and security. Simuway is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. We do not use this data to identify visitors. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Images. Pictures are loaded from img.simuway.com, our own image storage, also hosted on Cloudflare.

View counter. When you open an article, your browser tells our server which article was read. We store only the article and the date, adding one to that day’s total. No cookie, IP address, device identifier or other personal data is stored, and visits from known bots are not counted. These totals feed the “Popular” box.

Search. The site search runs inside your browser. What you type is not sent to us.

Your cookie choice. Your answer to the cookie notice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name cookie-consent, so we do not ask again on every page. It stays until you change it or clear your browser data.

If you click “Accept”, we load two Google services:

  • Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which articles are read and how visitors find the site. It uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_<ID>, which can last up to two years.
  • Google AdSense shows the ads that pay for the site. Google and its partners may use cookies (for example __gads, __gpi and cookies on doubleclick.net) to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure them.

Google acts as an independent controller for some of this data. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ad Settings. Third-party vendors’ use of cookies can also be managed at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.

If you click “Decline”, or never answer, none of these scripts or cookies are loaded.

Embedded content

Some articles include content from other sites. These sites may collect data about you as if you had visited them directly:

  • YouTube. Videos are shown as a preview image loaded from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com). The video player itself, from youtube-nocookie.com, loads only when you click play. See the Google privacy policy.
  • Steam. Store widgets are loaded from store.steampowered.com when you scroll near them. Valve may set its own cookies. See the Valve privacy policy.

Links to social networks (Instagram, Facebook, X) are plain links. Those networks receive data only if you follow a link.

When you contact us

If you write to us by e-mail, we use your address and message only to answer you and keep the conversation for as long as it is useful for that. If a contact form is available on the contact page, its messages are delivered to our inbox by the form service Web3Forms.

For visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: analytics and advertising cookies are used on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Hosting, security and the anonymous view counter are based on our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website. Answering your e-mail is based on your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states can ask what personal information is collected and opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Declining cookies, or changing your choice under Cookie settings, stops that sharing on this site. We do not sell personal information for money.

Most of the data described here is held by Google, Cloudflare or Valve rather than by us. For requests about it, the links above lead to their own tools. For anything else, write to contact@simuway.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Simuway is a general news site and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

When the way we handle data changes, we update this page and the “last updated” date at the top.
