ETS 2 Coaches: Behind the Scenes at MAN in Munich

A week after revealing the MAN Lion’s Coach, SCS Software has released the trip that made it possible. The new SCS On The Road episode follows the team to the MAN Bus Forum in Munich, where they spent a cold day collecting everything needed to recreate the coach in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Who went and what they did

Head of PR & Marketing Nemiro and Chief Partnership Officer Oscar went along with members of the vehicle and sound teams. Together they took reference photos and video of the Lion’s Coach and recorded audio samples, from the engine to the smaller interior sounds.

Florian Rott from Product Marketing at MAN Truck & Bus gave the team a guided walk-around and explained what makes the coach stand out. SCS thanks MAN for hosting them on what it calls an unusually cold but productive day.

Why these trips matter

This episode and the earlier Scania Touring visit show how much effort goes into each licensed coach. With two manufacturers now visited in person, both of the confirmed coaches have gone through the same full scanning and sound process SCS uses for its trucks.
