ETS 2 Ford Trucks F-MAX Mod: Update Coming With Blackline Interior
The Ford Trucks F-MAX, the free community truck mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2, has another update on the way. SiSL, who develops the mod, has shared the latest progress, and most of the list is repair work.
The fixes
The sounds and fonts head the list, both described as finally fixed. The rest is mostly about the cab:
- GPS items that did not work will now work.
- The trip computer’s non-working items have been redone.
- Interior materials have been reworked for the new system.
The changes
Three changes affect how you set the truck up:
- Blackline seats and interior are being added.
- The GPS becomes configurable. You can set it up as you like, which means the mod no longer needs three separate interiors for it.
- Fuel tanks become separate items.
The GPS change should tidy up the truck’s options, since one interior can now cover what used to take three.
When is it out?
There is no release date. Work on the update is still going on, and further progress is due to be posted on the mod’s news page.
The mod updates through Steam Workshop, so if you are subscribed there is nothing extra to do when the new version lands. Until then, the current version is on the Workshop.
Where the mod stands
The F-MAX is not in the base game. It has been a community project since its release in October 2019, and it is sold through the mod dealer rather than an official truck dealer. We covered how it works, and how to paint your own livery, in our skin template post.
A mod this old can drift away from the game around it, so an update that is mostly fixes is welcome. The Blackline interior is the part we are looking forward to seeing.
