The wait for cars in American Truck Simulator is nearly over. SCS Software has announced that the Road Trip: Ford DLC will be released on September 29, 2026, and it has a new video trailer to go with the date.

The name has changed along the way. Until now SCS called it the Ford Car Pack; from this announcement on, it is the Road Trip: Ford DLC. It is the same product with the same four cars.

The four cars

The announcement lists the lineup with model years:

CarOur earlier coverage
1967 Ford Mustang Fastbackfirst look, gameplay
2023 Ford F-150first look, gameplay
2023 Ford Broncofirst look
1998–2012 Ford Crown Victoriafirst look, walk-around video

SCS sketches a few drives to try: Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles, the rolling hills of the Midwest, or the mountains of Montana.

What else comes with it

The post sums up everything shown in recent months. Besides the cars themselves, you get smaller delivery jobs, which SCS detailed last week in its Quick Jobs and Dispatch Market post, plus accessories and paint for your cars as covered in our buying and configuring piece. Then there is Atlas, the exploration feature built around Tourist Boards and landmarks.

SCS makes a point of reminding truck-only players that Atlas is not just for cars. Own the Road Trip: Ford DLC and the feature is unlocked from release day, including from behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler.

What we do not know yet

SCS did not give a price in the announcement. The date also covers the Ford pack only. The studio said nothing here about when the RAM & Dodge pack will follow.

Our take

Seventeen months after the first announcement in April 2025, Road Trip finally has a date, and a short gap between date and launch is typical SCS. The order makes sense too. Ford goes first with a mix of old and new, and every feature it needs, from the dealer to Atlas, has been shown at least once.
