ETS 2 Coaches: Tourist Jobs Take Passengers to Landmarks
Quick Jobs and Contract Jobs are not the only work coming with the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Coaches DLC. SCS Software has revealed a third type, Tourist Jobs, and it is a very different kind of drive.
A day out for your passengers
In a Tourist Job you take passengers on their day off from a bus station to somewhere worth seeing. Destinations include:
- natural scenery
- city centres for sightseeing
- now and then, industrial depots offering guided tours
Some of these places have opening hours, and the arrival times take them into account.
Local or famous
Tourist Jobs are split by whether the landmark is locally or globally known, and that decides how long the trip is. At the destination you get a scenic viewpoint with a short cutscene, showing what your passengers came for. Many viewpoints also come with a short description of the place.
And then back again
The job is not over at the landmark. Once your passengers have had their time, you bring them home. Compared with Contract Jobs, the schedule is more relaxed, so there is room to take it slowly and enjoy the drive.
Our take
This lines up with what producer Dominik hinted at in January: more focus on tourism and on the scenic locations the map team builds. Tourist Jobs look like the most laid-back way to play Coaches, and a nice excuse to finally visit the viewpoints many players drive straight past.
