BeamNG.drive – Bristol Motor Speedway real race track mod by 2FastRacing
Bristol Motor Speedway is available in BeamNG.drive as a map mod made and published by the 2FastRacing team. It recreates the NASCAR short track in Bristol, Tennessee, formerly known as Bristol International Raceway and Bristol Raceway. BeamNG.drive is a physics sandbox first and a racing game second, and a map like this one is how players get real-world venues into it.
The real Bristol
Bristol is short, steep and loud. The speedway lists the concrete oval at 0.533 miles, with corners banked between 24 and 28 degrees and banked straightaways as well, so a 500-lap Cup Series race covers 266.5 miles. Its nicknames tell you what it is like: “The Last Great Colosseum” for the stands that wrap around the track, “Thunder Valley” for the noise and “World’s Fastest Half-Mile” for the pace. The track’s history goes back to 1961, and its first NASCAR Cup Series race, the Volunteer 500, was won by Jack Smith.
That layout is what makes it interesting in BeamNG.drive. Laps are very short, there is almost no room between the wall and the racing line, and the game’s soft-body damage means one bad entry into turn one leaves a car that no longer drives straight.
Mod versions and current state
2FastRacing first published the map on its own community site on June 30, 2021. We checked the resource page in late October 2026. It now lists version 1.0.0 Patch 2, last updated on November 22, 2025.
| Update | What it changed |
|---|---|
| Map Load Patch | Fixed the map failing to load after earlier BeamNG.drive updates |
| 1.0.0 Patch 2 | Fixed collidable decals in several places and removed more than 200,000 vertices |
The page does not state which BeamNG.drive version the current file targets, and it does not mention AI paths. A user asked in the reviews whether the AI follows the track, with no reply shown. Another asked for a dirt version, and the team said it is considering that for future work. Support is handled through 2FastRacing’s Discord server, linked from the resource page.
How to download and install
The download sits on 2fast.racing rather than the official BeamNG repository, and you need to log in or register on the site before the button works. Once downloaded, put the zip in the mods folder of your BeamNG.drive user folder without extracting it, start the game and pick Bristol Motor Speedway from the map list.
