Happy 5th Birthday American Truck Simulator! It's incredible how time has flown since we released this newer trucking title in February 2016. Our vehicle team has worked hard to bring you a range of long and short chassis types, allowing you to customize your truck for the job at hand. This update will feature 4x2, 8x4, and 8x6 chassis types which are used for a range of different trailers.

In 2022, International 9900i truck will arrive for the American Truck Simulator. SCS Software announced it in its Christmas stream. The release date hasn't been announced yet. 

There’s a lot of speculation around the possibility of a Canada DLC for American Truck Simulator! With each new state expansion, SCS Software has been steadily growing the game’s map, but the recent 1.53 update caused a stir by adding some Canadian roads in British Columbia.

We are happy to share that the 49X will receive 2 additional sleeper cabin options and a grand total of 36 chassis variants, comprising of different lengths and fuel tank options on 6x2, 6x4, 8x4, and 8x6 axle configurations.

The changes that we are introducing with the 1.40 update for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 have been visible to the public for some time now, in the currently still ongoing Open Beta builds. By far the most visible change is the new lighting system, which has turned out to be the largest graphical rework for us in years.
