ETS 2 – Churches and Shrines of Greece DLC

In the upcoming Greece map expansion DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, SCS Software has introduced some beautiful churches and shrines that are integral to the country’s ancient history. Inspired by real-world locations, the map teams have meticulously modeled stunning architectural gems for the Greece DLC, such as the Pantokrator Cathedral in Lixouri, Panagia Church, and Saint Dionysius Church in Argostoli, aiming to bring them to life in the virtual world with as much accuracy as possible. These churches are not only part of the country’s architectural beauty but are also still actively used, as Greece has a long-standing tradition of faith, with a deeply religious population.

In addition to the churches, you’ll encounter numerous shrines scattered along the roads throughout Greece. Often designed as miniature chapels or churches, these small boxes typically contain a lit lamp, images of saints, and some flowers. These shrines serve various purposes, such as memorials for traffic accident victims or as invitations for travelers to stop and pray.

When the Greece DLC for ETS 2 is released, you’ll be able to admire these churches and shrines as you journey through this Mediterranean gem.

SCS Software continues to introduce more of the Greece DLC through weekly blog posts, though the exact release date has not yet been confirmed. However, we’re eagerly anticipating its release before the end of the year!
