Exciting images of the natural landscapes in the ETS 2 Greece DLC have been shared. It is highlighted that Greece has incredibly diverse nature and scenery, from rugged mountains and lush forests to peaceful islands and sparkling coastlines. Although SCS Software has yet to announce a release date, border crossings and map sectors needed for compatibility with existing DLCs have been added with the 1.53 update.

With most of its climate being Mediterranean, Greece is quite dry; however, due to its mountainous terrain, it also contains numerous micro-climates and local variations. This allows a wide range of vegetation to flourish, including cypress, palm, and oleander trees, as well as the vast olive orchards found throughout the country. The SCS team has aimed to reflect this diversity of vegetation as accurately as possible in the DLC.

As we travel across various islands, we will encounter several natural landmarks, such as the Meteora Monasteries. Formed around 60 million years ago, these rock formations have gradually taken on their unique and varied shapes due to the eroding effects of water, wind, and extreme temperatures. At the top of these formations lies a complex of Eastern Orthodox monasteries, protected as a World Heritage Site.

Mount Olympus, also included in the DLC, is considered in Greek mythology as the abode of the gods and the throne of Zeus. Over the years, changing weather conditions have sculpted Olympus, forming deep gorges, elevated plateaus, smooth slopes, and sharp peaks, giving it a unique shape.

There are many more natural areas like this in the Greece DLC. One of them is Lake Polifitou, one of the largest artificial lakes in Greece. While traveling across the country, we will also see stunning coastal and island views. Additionally, when traveling from Albania in the West Balkans DLC, we will witness the impressive scenery of the Llogara Pass and reach Greece.
