ETS 2 Greece – New Industry & Custom Depots
Καλησπέρα, The Euro Truck Simulator 2 Greece DLC’s industries and logistics depots were introduced in a new blog post. With the Greece DLC, more exciting visuals are now being shared. We expect the DLC to be released before the end of 2024.
Researchers at SCS Software have once again done an excellent job finding new depots and industries that would be ideal for this southern map expansion. They decided to add a new food factory, cotton processing factory, olive farm, marble processing factory, and a logistics warehouse facility.
The olive processing industry is a very important sector in Greece, with a tradition dating back thousands of years. This Mediterranean country is actually the third-largest producer of olives in the world. The SCS team has also added an industry for cotton on the Greece map, just as they did for olives. Greece is noted as the largest cotton exporter in Europe, with more than 45,000 cotton farmers working there. Cotton actually takes up about 10% of the total agricultural land in Greece.
Marble, a critical resource in Greek architectural history, is also among the industries added to the game. This beautiful stone is renowned for its unique colors and veining patterns. Greece is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of marble, and players will be able to deliver cargo to two marble processing factories. Turkey is also an important producer and exporter in the marble industry.
In addition to the above industries, a new food factory is being added to the map. Virtual truck drivers will be able to deliver and pick up food products here. This new 3D model will also be used in future map expansions. Additionally, SCS’s 3D model designers have created a small warehouse model specifically for some of Greece’s islands.
You can also look forward to completely new, custom-made depots for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Each depot has been individually designed and added by the map designers, making them entirely unique. The Greece map expansion will feature various custom depots, including quarries, farms, a shipyard, and gas stations, where players will be able to deliver cargo. There is also another unique custom depot that they will reveal later.
