ETS 2 Greece DLC – Highways and Junctions
Discover Greece’s Expansive Road Network in Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Greece DLC
It’s time to hit the road and explore the scenic highways of Greece! In this feature, SCS Software’s thrilled to share details about the intricate road network that’s been developed for the highly anticipated Greece map expansion in Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Truckers will have the opportunity to enter Greece through six different border crossings, providing a range of access points into the country. In previous updates, three of these crossings—Kakavia, Níki – Medzhitlija, and Makaza – Nimphaia—have already been showcased. Once you cross into Greece, you’ll be able to travel in all directions, thanks to an extensive network of highways recreated for this expansion.
The A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, and A8 highways form the backbone of this road network, allowing truckers to reach nearly every corner of the country. Each route is filled with meticulously crafted intersections, adding both challenge and realism to your journey.
A Key Transportation Hub: Igoumenítsa Ferry
One of the most critical access points in Greece is the Igoumenítsa ferry, situated on the west coast. This vital transportation hub connects Greece with Italy, making it an essential route for anyone hauling goods across the Mediterranean. From Igoumenítsa, three major European roads are waiting to be explored, each offering a unique driving experience.
The E55, E90, and E92 Routes: Connecting Europe Through Greece
The E55 is one of Europe’s longest roads, starting far in the north in Sweden and stretching all the way down to the Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece. If you’re looking for a truly epic cross-continental drive, the E55 will take you through stunning landscapes and culturally rich areas.
Another major route, the E90, connects Portugal to Turkey, cutting across Greece from west to east. As you follow this road, you’ll pass through Thessaloniki and continue along Greece’s beautiful coastline, offering scenic views along the way.
Finally, the E92 links Greece’s west coast with the east, taking drivers through several important cities, including Trikala, one of the highlights of the upcoming Greece DLC.
