Deadstick – Bush Flight Simulator returns with a new publisher and studio after being announced 6 years ago. Deadstick, which was started to be developed by REMEX Software years ago, stopped production after the previous publisher, The Irregular Corporation, was acquired by Epic Games. Now Mythwright, a publishing company founded by former The Irregular Corp. employees, has resumed development. Another British development team, Spiral House, will also have a hand in the project.
Just before the announcement of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, we saw the Deadstick project while the flight sim market was in a mulberry tree. Obviously, the flight simulation community and market has come a long way in the last 6 years. Let’s see if Deadstick – Bush Flight Simulator can satisfy you with its unique semi-open world structure. What improvements have been made to the project? What are the new plans? With MSFS2024 approaching, alternative projects like Deadstick are getting really difficult.
In the video below, Chris Cheetham, founder of REMEX Software, gives the good news for those who follow the simulation closely.
To highlight some of the main topics of this video:
- New Deadstick publisher, Mythwright.
- New Deadstick developer, Spiral House.
- Deadstick development updates – incoming and more transparency with the community.
Developer says “The reason we have decided to work on Deadstick is because we believe in it, and want to make sure it becomes a reality. Our aim is to share as much with you, our community as possible between now and launch. This will be a range of information from developer diaries, short videos/gifs, to screenshots of the game being developed – not all news will be a major update but we want to make sure you are along for the journey, you can also join us on our Discord to chat with other pilots.”
