Assetto Corsa EVO – System Requirements for PC

PC system requirements and VR support details for Assetto Corsa EVO have been revealed, featuring high-end specs for a fully immersive racing simulation experience.

 

The highly anticipated Assetto Corsa EVO is set to enter Early Access soon, and fans of the racing simulation genre are eager to get their hands on it. Developed by Kunos Simulazioni, the game promises an immersive experience for racing enthusiasts. Alongside the announcement of the early access, the developer has also revealed the PC system requirements to ensure smooth gameplay.
Assetto Corsa EVO early access version will be released on 16 January 2025.

To run Assetto Corsa EVO efficiently, you’ll need a minimum of 100 GB of storage space, which highlights the game’s detailed graphics and vast content. Notably, the developers have specified the need for an SSD, which ensures faster loading times and smoother gameplay compared to traditional hard drives.

The processing power required is quite substantial, with the minimum specs calling for an Intel i7 8700k or AMD 1500X, both high-performance CPUs. The recommended processor, Intel i5 10500 or AMD 2600X, indicates that a mid-to-high-end CPU will provide the best experience, ensuring smooth frame rates and responsive gameplay.

The PC system requirements of the new flight simulator X-Plane 12 has been revealed. Although Laminar Research has not yet announced an early access date, it is slowly approaching the release. We’re warming up to XP12 more with the teased images. When the simulator is ready for purchase, it has been announced that the X-Plane 12 demo will be released for free. 

Minimum Hardware Requirements:

  • CPU: Intel Core i3, i5, i7, or i9 CPU with 4 or more cores, or AMD Ryzen 3, 5, 7 or 9.
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Video Card: a DirectX 11-capable video card from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel with at least 2 GB VRAM

If your system is borderline, we encourage you to try the demo first. The full version of the simulator will perform exactly the same as the demo—neither better nor worse. (Note: The X-Plane 12 Demo will be available when the simulator is ready for purchase.)

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 8600k or Ryzen 5 3500 or better
  • Memory: 16-24 GB RAM or more
  • Video Card: a DirectX 12-capable video card from NVIDIA or AMD with at least 4 GB VRAM (GeForce GTX 1070 or better or similar from AMD).

Supported Video Cards:

  • NVIDIA: NVIDIA GeForce 900 or newer, driver version 470.82 or newer.
  • AMD: AMD Radeon RX 500 or newer, driver version Adrenaline 21.11.2 or newer.

Supported Operating Systems:

  • OS X: OS X 10.15 or newer (e.g. Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey).
  • Windows: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
  • Linux: Varies
    • While X-Plane 12 will run on Linux, we don’t provide support for specific distributions; if you want to run on Linux, you will need to try X-Plane on your distribution to see if it is compatible. With that in mind, we have developers using Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 LTS successfully.
    • We require the proprietary driver from NVIDIA to run X-Plane. We require the Mesa drivers for AMD to run X-Plane.
